The Batglider makes Batman appear to have wings. It functions like a traditional hand glider, but built to resemble the wingspan of a bat. Batman hides these on select buildings throughout the city.

In other media

In Batman Returns Batman can make his actual cape turn into gliding wings. The Batglider was reguallry featured in Batman: The Animated Series. In Batman Begins it again appears as a cape, this time made from "memory cloth", that becomes semi-rigid when an electrical current is run through it.
