Ben Affleck is an American Academy-Award winning actor, writer, producer and director. He portrayed Bruce Wayne/Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and in Justice League.
Affleck is also the producer of The Batman.

- Originally Affleck was supposed to direct The Batman, but in January 2017 he decided to abandon the role of director to focus only on the character.
- Affleck also wrote the screenplay for The Batman, along with Geoff Johns, but after leaving the direction of the film, his script was discarded.
