Birds of Prey is a comic book series published by DC Comics that features the adventures of the superheroine Oracle and her group of superheroines.

HistoryEdit

The Birds of Prey are a group of female heroes headed by the Oracle. Although there have been several changing parts, the group usually consists of Oracle, Black Canary, and The Huntress. The team's greatest strength comes from Oracle's connections to other heroes across the DC Universe from her tenure as Batgirl, ranging from Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman to specialized rosters adapted to best suit her present mission. After Black Canary's departure, Huntress remains as the staple member and field leader, alongside new "core members." Despite the nearly all-female central roster, male allies of Barbara such as Nightwing, Wildcat, Savant, and Creote frequently assist missions.

The group operated out of Gotham Clock Tower for a time, then were forced to move to Metropolis. Since then Oracle has disbanded the group after the apparent death of Batman. They now return, with many familiar faces, and some new members added to the team.
