"Very funny. You should've had more gore under the fangs though, right? He he he... what a dick."
―Alexander Knox[src]

Bob Kane was a newspaper cartoonist who worked for the Gotham Globe. He showed Alexander Knox a drawing of a vampire bat with a man's body. A caption was included that read "Have you seen this man?".

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Originally the cartoonist was going to be played by the original Batman creator, Bob Kane, but Kane was unavailable for shooting. However, Kane did draw the illustration that Bob showed Knox, with his signature on it. As a result, the character bears the same name of the real author, Bob Kane.

Trivia[]

  • The "Bat-Man" drawing may also be seen as an allusion to Man-Bat.
