Ned Creegan alias Cyclotronic Man, One Man Meltdown and Bag O'Bones is an enemy of Batman and the Outsiders.

History[]

Earth One[]

Origins[]

Ned Creegan was a petty-criminal in Gotham City who was tipped off about a series of jewels being stored in the house of scientist Nevil Logan. Unknown to Ned, these jewels had been stored with large amounts of radiation aimed to make people immune to deadly radiation. When Ned robbed the doctor, he began to have his physiology changed. When confronted by Batman and Robin, the radiation transformed him into a glowing figure with a visible skeleton, causing Robin to nickname him, "Bag O'Bones".

Ned sought out the doctor to find a cure, and learned that whenever in his skeletal form he would decrease his lifespan. The two began working together so that Logan could sell the cause of Creegan's super-powers. Ned went on another crime-spree where he was again confronted by Batman and Robin, leading him to reveal the doctor's plans. After fighting irradiated animals created by the doctor, the duo forced him to give up the cures which would solve Ned. After this, Ned was given a 20 year sentence to serve in prison.

Metropolis[]

Somehow, Ned redeveloped his superpowers and began dressing in a high-tech suit. Using his abilities, Ned moved to Metropolis where he became a mercenary known as, "Cyclotronic Man". Ned was hired by mobster Tobias Whale to assassinate both Superman and Black Lightning. Ned did this by kidnapping their mutual friend Jimmy Olsen, forcing the two superheroes to set asides their differences and team up to defeat Ned.

One-Man Meltdown[]

At some point after being defeated in Metropolis, Ned was sent back to the Gotham State Penitentiary where the warden experimented on him, decreasing his lifespan. When his parole was denied, Ned used his powers to go on a nuclear rampage and stole many radioactive materials to extend his own life. Not knowing of the experiments, Batman and the Outsiders confronted Ned.

Ned was most notably defeated by the joined efforts of Katana and Halo who bonded during the fight. Upon unmasking him, they learned of Ned's true motives and then went to confront the warden. They stopped the warden from destroying the evidence of his experiments and had him arrested while arranging for Ned to make parole.
