Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman is an Academy Award nominee and a Grammy and Emmy award-winning composer, record producer and actor. Elfman composed the score for Batman and Batman Returns. He composed the main theme for Batman: The Animated Series, a variation of his 1989 Batman movie theme, heard during the opening and ending credits of each episode.
He has scored the majority of Tim Burton's films.
In June 2017, Elfman has been chosen by Joss Whedon to compose the Justice League movie soundtrack, replacing Zack Snyder's collaborator Junkie XL.
Other works include Beetlejuice, Dick Tracy, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Spider-Man and the main theme for The Simpsons.
