Raju was a messenger for the wealthier crime families of Gotham City. He was also an informant for the Gotham City Police Department.

Batman tried to get some information about the Dollmaker from Raju but he had only heard something about an auction - but Batman didn't believe him. Raju tells him about the Dolmakers hideout and his muscle. Later, Batman found him dead in a bath tube, possibly killed by Jill Hampton.
