George Henry Sanders (3 July 1906 – 25 April 1972) was an English film, and television actor, singer-songwriter, music composer, and author. Sanders' extremely heavy English accent and baritone voice often led him to portray sophisticated, but villainous characters. He is known most of all as Addison DeWitt in All About Eve (1950) and the villainous tiger Shere Khan in The Jungle Book. His career spanned more than forty years. He also portrayed Mr. Freeze in two episodes of the widely seen 1960s live-action Batman TV series.
