This Gotham City was formerly dark, as seen in Burton's movies: Batman and Batman Returns. But when Batman began his open crusade against crime, the city became safer and rich, wich helped it to change from dark to lighted neon.

Batman ForeverEdit

Riddler and Two-Face wanted to drain the information from all the brains in Gotham City. In the end, both were defeated by Batman and his new partner Robin.

Batman & RobinEdit

Batman, Robin and Batgirl prevent Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Bane in an attempt to dominate Gotham City with ice and vegetation.


Behind the ScenesEdit

When Joel Schumacher took Tim Burton's role as director he made Gotham more vibrant with bright neon lights and a vivid nightlife.
