This man was one of Gambol's thugs. He was present at a meeting of the gangsters during which the criminals discussed their current situation. The Joker appeared unexpectedly at the meeting and offered to perform a "magic trick" for the mob bosses. He lodged a pencil in the table and declared that he would make it "disappear". Irritated by the Joker's lack of "manners", Gambol ordered this man to deal with him. But as the goon approached the Joker, he slammed the man's head into the pencil. As he fell backwards, the pencil had indeed vanished into the thug's head through his eye, killing him in the process.
