Richard "Dick" Grayson was the son of skilled acrobats known as the Flying Graysons. They peformed at the circus. He and his parents were acrobats. Tony Zucco killed Dick's parents by tampering with their ropes when they were swinging performing. Dick then met Bruce Wayne and was taken in by him. Bruce didn't want Dick's childhood to be consumed by revenge. The Batman fought Tony Zucco but was defeated. Tony was a powerful man. Then Dick turned his old circus costume into the Robin costume and fought Tony Zucco but he couldn't defeat Zucco. Batman broke free from Zucco's trap and defeated Zucco. Robin became The Batman's sidekick.
