Terence was one of the Joker's many Goons. He had prematurely gray hair and a stocky build. Terence is extremely similar in appearance to an indistinct overweight goon, hair color and hat detail being the only ways to tell them apart.

Biography

Mob meeting

He was first seen when Napier killed Antoine Rotelli. Terence burst into the room with the Tall Joker Goon, Gymnast Joker Goon and Fedora Joker Goon all armed with tommy guns. After threatening the mob leaders they ushered them out of the building.

Assassination of Vinnie Ricorso

Terence was seen as a mime during the Joker's attack on Vinnie Ricorso. His makeup included long, thin dark streaks down the eyes and a pair of very small, pouting red lips. He appears on the sidewalk just down the street from Gotham City Hall, performing various maneuvers such as "the invisible box" and "pulling on an imaginary rope" while a family of tourists gawked and pointed at him from a short distance away. Terence's job was apparently to distract any onlookers while Bob Hawkins (who was standing nearby, half-hidden behind the corner of a building) leaned out to take photographs of the Gotham Globe news reporters. Terence is successful, as Bob obtains excellent photos of both Alexander Knox and Vicki Vale.

Incident at the Flugelheim

Terence was also with the rest of the Joker Goons at the Flugelheim Museum, especially when he repainted the head of a statue to reproduce the likeness of the Joker; he then loaned his brush to the Joker so that his boss could write "Joker was here" on one of the wall paintings.

200th Anniversary Parade

Terence was seated on the cake float during Gotham City's 200th Anniversary Parade. After witnessing the Batwing pull the balloons into the atmosphere he threw his ballcap down looking upward in shock and anger.

Skirmish of Gotham Cathedral

Terence later rode in the green helicopter in an attempt to rescue Joker at the top of the Old Cathedral. Now sporting a different bright purple Joker ballcap, he operated a rope latter and continually beckoned his boss to "come on."

According to Commissioner Gordon's speech at the Batsignal press conference, Terence was later arrested along all of the rest of Joker's men.

Behind the Scenes

  • Terence was one of three named goons in the film, the other two were Bob and Lawrence. Terence and Lawrence were only called by name at the Flugelheim Museum sequence and both names rhymed. However, Terence was a reference to Terry Plummer's actual name by Jack Nicholson.
  • Terence was often mistakenly believed to be the Overweight Joker Goon, who was played by Mac McDonald, who also wore a black ball cap.
