The Atom was an ally of Batman and a friend of Aquaman.

Because he was an expert in nano technology the Atom helped batman trick Felix Faust by making him think he was a god.

Aquaman called on the Atom to help when Batman was poisoned by Chemo. He and the Atom then went inside Batman to cure him.

As the name implies, he can shrink to extremely small sizes, the size of an atom, infact. He can supposedly lift things much larger then him, much like an ant.
